Available in different quantities, these additives are added in API GL-5 and API MT-1 quality level gear oils. These eco friendly additives improve chemical and shear ability of the oil.

 

Formulations of our range include:

• 3.25% to 3.9% by weight to meet the requirements of API-GL-4, Automotive, GL-4 IS : 1118 service Classification
• 6.5% by weight to meet the requirements of API GL-5 Service Classification
• 10.0% by weight to meet the requirements of API GL-6 Service Classification
• 1% to 4% by weight in selected industrial gear oil and grease applications

Introduction 

 

GL 1326 is a premium quality multifunctional additive for formulating quenching and heat transfer oils. It has been developed to meet the most stringent North American and European standards, especially those for assuring clean and bright parts after heat treatment. It is highly effective oxidation  and thermal decomposition inhibitors eliminates sludging and staining, and significantly prolongs useful service life of this outstanding quench oil additive.

 

Formulations

             2.0 to 7.0%   by weight 

 

In paraffinic base stocks to prepare ideal quenching oil  for use when deeper and more uniform hardening is required in steels and other metals having small grain size or wide variations in grain size, in steels lean in alloy content, when minimum distortion is required in high hardenability metals.

Benzaldehyde is the simplest representative of the aromatic aldehydes. It is a colorless liquid aldehyde with a characteristic almond odor. It boils at 180°C, is soluble in ethanol, but is insoluble in water. Benzaldehyde is formed by partial oxidation of benzyl alcohol and readily oxidized to benzoic acid and is converted to addition products by hydrocyanic acid or sodium bi sulfite.
